Trax Motorsports ("Trax", "we") sells ATV, UTV, motorcycle, dirt bike and golf cart tires, wheels and parts from 5464 Cypress St., West Monroe, LA 71291, in our store and on eBay. This policy explains what personal information we keep, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and how to reach us about it.
What we collect
- Orders on eBay. When you buy from our eBay store, eBay gives us what we need to fill the order: your name, shipping address, phone number, the eBay username shown on your order, a contact email, what you bought, and the price, tax and shipping. We also keep messages you send us through eBay.
- Orders and contact in our store, by phone or by email. We keep what you give us, such as your name, contact details, vehicle and order details, and the payment record of the sale.
- Our website, traxms.com, has no accounts, checkout or contact forms, sets no cookies, and uses no advertising or analytics tracking. Search terms you type are sent to our server to show results. Like any website, our web host keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. Product photos and links may load from or lead to eBay, Facebook or Instagram, whose own privacy policies apply there.
For eBay orders, eBay handles payment and we never see your card details. For store and phone orders, card payments are processed by PayPal, and our order system keeps the payment record in encrypted form. We never ask for or store eBay passwords.
How we use it
- To fill, ship and track your order, including orders shipped straight from one of our suppliers.
- To answer your questions and handle returns, warranty claims, cancellations and order problems.
- To check that parts fit your vehicle when you give us vehicle details.
- To keep the tax, accounting and business records the law requires.
- To prevent fraud and protect our business and customers.
We do not sell your personal information, and we never use eBay buyers' contact details for marketing emails or texts.
Who we share it with
Only what each needs to do its job:
- Suppliers and distributors that ship an order straight to you (name, shipping address, phone).
- Shipping carriers and freight companies such as FedEx, UPS and USPS (name, address, phone, package details).
- Service providers we use to run the business, such as email, documents, messaging, AI assistant tools that help us read and answer your messages, hosting and order software, under their own confidentiality and security terms.
- PayPal, which processes card payments for store and phone orders.
- eBay, as part of completing and supporting your eBay order.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
How long we keep it
We keep order records, including your contact details, for as long as we need them to fill orders, handle returns and warranty claims, and keep our business and tax records.
If you close your eBay account, eBay tells us. We then keep the eBay order records that name you only as long as tax and accounting record-keeping rules call for (4 years after the end of the year of the sale), and then remove your name, address, phone, email and eBay username, keeping only what identifies no one: order number, dates, amounts, part numbers, and ship-to state and ZIP code.
Some copies may remain in places we cannot edit item by item, such as past emails, chat messages, the history of our order notes, and our suppliers' and carriers' own systems.
Security
We limit access to personal information to the people and systems that need it, protect our systems with passwords and access controls, and use encrypted connections when our systems exchange information over the internet. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you or ask us to correct it. You can also ask us to delete it: we then remove what we are not required to keep, and keep records that tax and accounting rules call for only for that period (the same rule as a closed eBay account above). Contact us using the details below. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under your state's law.
Our website does not track visitors across other sites, so it does not respond differently to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
Our website and store are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. eBay buyers must be 18 or older.

Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
